This site sits in ERCOT's LZ_HOUSTON zone with strong fundamentals: 39 substations within 20 miles show positive offtake headroom, wholesale power averages $31.15/MWh, and the primary POI (CANEY 138 kV, 3.7 mi) needs no major upgrade, putting effective time to power near 6 months. The one hard problem is congestion: 6,946 MW of active interconnection queue sits at nearby POIs, concentrated at CANEY itself. The read is a workable site whose timeline lives or dies on queue position.
